She Kills Monsters Play at Capital Rep Theatre in Albany, New York

She Kills Monsters Play at Capital Rep Theatre in Albany, NY. Summer Stage Young Acting Company Performers in collaboration with the Black Theatre Troupe of Upstate NY.

What an amazing play and storyline. There were so many nuggets speaking on issues like racism, sexuality and the general topic of fitting in. I loved the 1990’s music and TV show references. The fact that there was a WALKMAN in the show totally brought me back in time too!

I have never played Dungeons and Dragons either but this play made me want to! Such fun costumes, set design and lighting in this performance.
Here are some of my favorites from the show that I photographed:

Carole King - Beautiful - Broadway Show Photography at the Rep in Albany

Occasionally we shoot on a GREEN SCREEN so that the images can be made into show posters. The images we take are superimposed on a background of the show’s choice. We did just that for the promo shoot for “Beautiful, the Carole King Musical” at the Capital Rep Theatre in Albany, NY. In this blog we show images that we captured in the gallery and a couple examples of how they were made into ads to promote the show.

Actors and Actresses at Proctors and Capital Region Rep - theREP's NEXT ACT! New Play Summit

I had the absolute pleasure of watching the screenplay read throughs at
theREP's NEXT ACT! New Play Summit
(at Capital Repertory Theatre’s and Proctors) as I photographed them on stage.
It was my first time seeing all that goes on behind the scenes of plays and shows. I was blown away by the local talent and diversity of the actors and actresses.

They have to modulate their voices, develop a character just from words on a page they have never seen before, learn to interact with the other cast members, stand for hours on stage, deal with the bright spot lights and more! It completely opened my eyes to all that is involved and I am thrilled to see where these actors/actresses go with their careers! I have no doubt I will see some on the big screens someday!
