Adler’s Antique Autos Photo Adventure

I have been missing doing photography with my Pinup, Boudoir, Family Sessions and Weddings/Engagement shoots so I heading out the couple of weeks to photograph and get my “creative outlet fix”. I am working on photographing abandoned vehicles amongst weeds and vines for a new series called “In the Weeds”. Last Sunday, I took my eight-year-old son Johnny out for the day on a road trip to Stephentown, NY to Adler’s Antique Autos. We spent almost two hours walking around the auto yard that we had to ourselves (minus one chipmunk) and got a ton of photos! It was Johnny’s first time using a Nikon camera (I gave him my old D90x to use) and he took 123 photos!

This abandoned vehicle series has helped me stay sane and is like a grown up Easter egg hunt! I am driving to locations unsure of what I will find but always leave happier than when I arrived.

Creating ART is the blood flowing through my artistic veins so with this pandemic, it was immediately like my lifeline was cut off. Getting out to take photos in nature has been my saving grace. Below is a video with some footage from our day at Adler’s Antiques as well as images we captured!

If you know of other abandoned vehicle locations, please share them with me so I can add to this growing series I hope to have a future gallery showing of once this pandemic is over!

Thank you,
Lorraine
